Introducing the Spoon Market
Share
22 spoons. All different. All waiting to be recognised.
There are spoons, and then there are spoons.
The one that feels right in your hand.
The one that makes certain foods possible.
The one you quietly look for at the back of the drawer, even though there are “perfectly good” alternatives right there.
If you know, you know.

Why a spoon market?
For a lot of neurodivergent folks, spoons aren’t interchangeable.
Weight matters.
Edges matter.
The way the handle sits in your palm matters.
And yet, when a favourite spoon gets lost, bent, moved, or quietly disappears into someone else’s cutlery drawer, replacing it is almost impossible. Shops sell sets. Multipacks. “Matching” cutlery. Not that spoon.
So we decided to do something different.
What is the Spoon Market?
The Spoon Market is a small, carefully curated collection of individual spoons — sourced one by one, photographed one by one, and listed one by one.
No bundles.
No sets.
No “close enough”.
Each spoon is treated as its own thing, because that’s how it feels when you find the right one.
Launching with 22 spoons
We’re starting small.
For our launch, the Spoon Market contains 22 individual spoons.
Each one has:
-
Its own listing
-
Clear photos from multiple angles
-
Sensory descriptors to help you understand how it feels, not just how it looks
Some are heavy and grounding.
Some are light and unobtrusive.
Some have soft, rounded edges.
Some are sharper, more precise.
None of them are “better” than the others — they’re just different.
How to use the Spoon Market
You can browse slowly.
You can scroll and stop when something catches your eye.
You can read the descriptors, compare shapes, look at handles and bowl depth.
There’s no rush. No pressure to decide quickly.
You’re allowed to leave and come back later.
If one spoon feels familiar - like it might be your spoon - that’s worth paying attention to.
This is just the beginning
The Spoon Market will grow over time. More spoons will be added in small batches, and eventually we hope to expand into other everyday objects that matter more than people realise.
But for now, we’re starting here.
With 22 spoons.
Each one ready to be chosen on purpose.
If you’ve ever missed a spoon you loved, we hope you find something here that feels like home.
